Tianran is an experienced immigration and administrative law practitioner with extensive expertise across a wide range of visa categories.

She regularly advises on employer-sponsored visas, including the 482 Temporary Skill Shortage visa, 407 Training visa, 400 Short Stay Specialist visa, and 186 Employer Nomination Scheme permanent residency, as well as family reunion and investment visas.

Tianran is highly regarded for handling complex and high-stakes matters such as visa cancellations, judicial reviews, and ministerial intervention requests. She has achieved outstanding outcomes in challenging cases and is frequently described by clients as a “life changer”.

She is widely respected by clients and peers alike and has worked closely with counsel to successfully overturn decisions of the Department of Home Affairs. Notably, she acted in the judicial review matter of Wang v Minister for Immigration [2022] FCA 672. Given the intersection between migration and family law, she also has a strong interest in matters involving children.
