Immigration News ! – ASEAN Partnership with Australia
Individuals from Association of South East Nations (ASEAN) countries, have greater opportunities to conduct business in Australia.
Key Changes
- Extended Visiting Times – extended business visitor visa to up to 5 years, instead of up to 3 years (only applicable for applicants lodged after 1 April 2024).
- Subclass 600 Visa Benefits – Business visitors who hold a visitor’s visa (subclass 600) are entitled to stay up to 3 months at a time, throughout various visits, up till 5 years. subclass 600 visa holders can visit Australia to attended their business commitments, involving: contract negotiation, business and general employment enquires, attending trade affairs or conferences and participating in government visits.
- 10-year Visitor Visa Frequent Traveler Stream Extension – The 10-year visitor visa frequent traveler stream will additionally be extended to ASEAN states in the near future (date TBD).
